Owen Krzyzaniak Geary (b. 1997, New Hampshire) is an artist and art conservator. He draws thematic connections between ecological conservation, biodiversity, and classical painting. He currently lives and works in Queens, NYC.
After moving to New York City, Geary studied Fine Art at Parsons School of Design and minored in Environmental Studies. During that time, he began oil painting sessions with portraitist Naruki Kukita. After graduating, Geary began teaching painting courses throughout New York and illustrated Terra, a book by Caroline Powell exploring Northeastern forest ecosystems, published by Topos Press. In 2024, he began working in art conservation with Chelsea Art Restoration in Mott Haven.
Geary’s solo exhibitions – at NAD Gallery in Brooklyn (2023), VENT in Queens (2023), and Two Villages Art Society in New Hampshire (2022) – highlight his unique blend of ecological themes and queer identity. His work has appeared at The National Arts Club in Manhattan, Turley Gallery in Hudson, The Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition Gallery in Red Hook, The Gaythering Queer Art Fair in Miami, Greenpoint Gallery in Brooklyn, Limner Gallery in Hudson, VENT: The Center for Research in Psychic Reality in Queens, Two Villages Art Society in New Hampshire, and NAD Gallery in Brooklyn.
